As part of the continued expansion of online access to Visitor Visas globally, the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection has announced that all Indian passport holders will have the option to lodge Visitor visa applications online from July 1, 2017.

“The online application option will make applying for Visitor visas easier and more convenient for Indian visitors to Australia,” according to Mr. Alex Hawke, the Assistant Minister for Immigration and Border Protection.

Online lodgment offers benefits such as:

• ·         24/7 accessibility on the visa application.

• ·         Electronic payment of the visa application charge

• ·         Ability to check the status of application lodged online.

This is a good news for every Indian visitor to Australia, whether they are traveling for pleasure or for business.

Being able to check the status of an application online, as soon as it is finalised, will allow Indian applicants to finalise their travel arrangements as soon as possible, confident that they have first obtained the necessary visa for their visit.
